Steven H. Pahl has extensive experience in the insurance industry, as demonstrated by his work with insurers such as Allstate, CIGNA, and AIG, and brokers like Aon and Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. This background provides him with a deep understanding of industry practices, policy intricacies, and the roles of various stakeholders.  

Currently, as Senior Consultant/Partner at Risk Resources, Inc., Pahl leverages this expertise to serve as an expert in insurance-related litigation. His expert witness work involves providing analysis and testimony in legal disputes concerning insurance matters.  

Pahl’s experience includes cases involving insurance companies and brokers, such as Lenny Szarek v. Richard Morency, Weible & Company and Aon Risk Services Inc. of Illinois, Parkside at Kilani, LLV v. Arch Insurance Company and Miller Insurance Brokerage, Inc., and S&R Egg Farms v. Cottingham and Butler Services and Allied World Assurance Company.  

Beyond his consulting and expert witness work, Pahl is also active in insurance education and sharing industry knowledge. He served as Executive Director/Adjunct Faculty at The Gongaware Center, College of Business, Indiana State University, from 1998 to 2005, teaching courses in risk management and insurance. Pahl has lectured at various events, including the American Law Institute and the International Risk Management Institute’s Construction Conference, on topics such as commercial general liability and risk financing options. Additionally, he has published articles in publications such as Business Insurance and Risk Management Quarterly.
