Steve is a 30+ year veteran of property and casualty insurance claims.  He holds the CPCU and AIC designations and is Past President (2006) of the National Society of Professional Insurance Investigators (NSPII).

Over the course of his carrier career, Steve worked as a direct claim handler, manager, litigation examiner, senior claim specialist and director of speciality claims (such as mass tort, surety, EPL).  He has supervised and managed direct report team as well as delegated claim handlers (Third Party Administrators).  He has worked with Fortune 500 companies in the administration of their claims strategies and self-insured retentions.  He has managed and brought to conclusion numerous six, seven and eight figure cases.  In addition to personal lines of business, his experience in commercial lines includes business classes such as transportation, hospitality, habitational, sports and leisure, commercial property, commercial general liability, surety, nursing homes, and big box retail.

Steve’s services include retention as an expert witness in insurance coverage and bad faith/best practices claim handling.  In addition, he is available for audits of carrier claim handlers and TPAs in the areas of overall claim quality, reserve adequacy and accuracy, or targeted queries.
