Mr. Bushnell is a Certified Public Accountant with over 20 years of experience providing Forensic Accounting services through national and global professional services firms. Know as the “numbers guy” his professional expertise covers Business Interruption Claims, Economic Damage Analysis, and Fraud Investigations. Mr. Bushnell has advised clients in mediation, arbitration and appraisal as a third party neutral, provided expert testimony in court and assisted in high profile fraud investigations. His industry expertise includes a wide range of international projects in the energy, chemical, and utility industries, as well as manufacturing, higher education and not-for-profit institutions.

Mr. Bushnell has provided insurance consulting services to policyholders, brokers and adjusters. His primary services are preparing complex Property and Business Interruption (“BI”) claims for commercial policyholders and providing Expert Witness Testimony for claims in litigation. Mr. Bushnell has documented, analyzed and quantified BI claims due to fire, explosions, burst piping, as well as, claims due to tornadoes, hail storms, hurricanes and other natural disasters.

Mr. Bushnell has published several articles on such topics as contingent business interruption claims, understanding business interruption, and assisting policyholders through the claims process. Additionally, he has provided continuing education training for accountants and insurance professionals  on a wide range of topics. He is currently working with The National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research as an expert to develop and deliver educational courses on time element coverage.
