Ms. Leonhardi is a highly accomplished claim professional with proven success in both insurance and reinsurance claim management. Presently, she owns and operates two claim management services: Puget Sound Claim Consulting (PSCC) and Puget Sound Risk & Insurance Consulting (PSRIC), both based in Seattle, Washington. Ms. Leonhardi provides expert witness testimony on claim handling industry standards based on 40 years in the insurance industry and expertise on a wide variety of claims. She has handled, supervised and managed a wide variety of insurance lines and, literally, tens of thousands of claims involving general liability, foreign liability, worker’s compensation, D&O, E&O, inland marine, bond & surety, personal and commercial property, auto first party & liability and accident & health. To date, Ms. Leonhardi has provided claim handling testimony in over 50 cases, locally, regionally and nationally. She also provides a full line of reinsurance services (PSRIC) ranging from underlying claim auditing to treaty/facultative policy analysis in addition to work with excess and surplus lines carriers. She has audited the claim operations of upwards of 75 insurance company claim departments. Ms. Leonhardi holds a master’s degree in international finance and formal training (CPCU) in all aspects of insurance company operations from underwriting to loss control and risk management.
