Membership in AAIMCo
AAIMCo offers two levels of membership: Regular and Associate. Please see the qualification statements below to determine the level for which you should apply. Membership is open to individuals who have attained expertise through education and/or experience.
Qualifications for Regular Membership
Prospective Regular Members must be independent contractor consultants who work with individual clients on insurance-related assignments. Regular Members normally dedicate 50% or more of their consulting services to assisting individuals or entities with regard to insurance-related issues. A Regular Member’s clients can be whoever needs the consultant’s particular area of expertise, counsel, or advice on a specific problem or project, whether they be individuals, businesses, professionals, non-profits or government entities. Regular Members take assignments on a case-by-case basis, each project being unique to that particular client. It can involve financial matters, E&O or other litigation issues, sales or mergers, claim disputes, regulatory issues, agency management or perpetuation, or independent counsel and assistance in designing, evaluating, and managing insurance and risk- related programs.

Qualifications for Associate Membership
Prospective Associate Members are individuals who are involved in the insurance industry in a capacity other than as a consultant. Associate Members are individuals that provide products to the insurance industry, or who offer membership programs, or otherwise service the insurance industry in some way.

Associate Membership
Associate Members enjoy the same benefits as Regular Members, except they are ineligible to attend business meetings, vote or hold office.
